PFA ELECTRICITY BUYERS GROUP EXPANDS TO STATEWIDE SERVICE

PFA is pleased to announce that its electricity buyers group has expanded to utility service territories throughout Pennsylvania. The state’s last remaining regulated rate caps expired December 31, 2010.

Most foundries are able to save money over the utility’s default service with PFA’s electricity buyers group. PFA’s preferred suppliers are Constellation New Energy and Noble Americas Energy Solutions (formerly, Sempra Energy Solutions). Both suppliers serve PFA’s electricity buyers group in the Met Ed, Peco, PenElec and PPL territories. Constellation New Energy also will quote foundries in the Allegheny Energy, Duquesne Power and Penn Power territories who are interested in receiving a competitive proposal.

Electricity contracts lasting from one to three years or more in length are available. Fixed price as well as block-and-index and customized supply contracts can be developed to meet your specific needs. As of January 1, 2011, over 125 million kWh of annual electricity use has joined PFA’s buyers group.

PFA REGULATORY STEWARDSHIP SERVICE AVAILABLE IN 2011

Pa. foundries are encouraged to enroll in PFA’s regulatory stewardship service to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental, safety and industrial hygiene mandates. This economical assistance is entering its fifth year of service. Only a limited number of foundries can be accommodated, so call George Boyd without delay to sign-up.

For a flat annual fee, payable in quarterly installments, you will receive a guaranteed number of in-plant and off-site days to assist your compliance with OSHA, EPA and DEP regulations. The service includes mandated employee training, review of written programs, assistance in completing forms and reports, ombudsman service with regulatory agencies (as needed), and a customized compliance calendar covering your specific permits.

This stewardship service will benefit your foundry in mastering the financial, time and technical constraints of regulatory compliance in an efficient and effective manner.

Contact George Boyd at 610-272-2414 or gbconsult@aol.com to discuss specific retainer and service arrangements for your company. Fees and services are based on a sliding scale to reflect differences in regulatory complexities among foundries.

Please be sure to visit our new Directory of Member Foundries to find the best foundries offering quality products and services at an affordable price.
