The Pennsylvania Foundry Association has just produced two manuals approved and funded under grants from Federal OSHA. The Foundry Manager's Guide to Safety and Health is a revision and expanded edition of the original manual published in 1986. It includes interpretations of OSHA's most recent standards and the new Form 300. The first 35 pages describe a shirtsleeve but comprehensive safety program. The Foundry Manager's Guide to Air Sampling and the Prevention of Silicosis is a new publication, describing the mechanisms of lung disease from exposure to silica dust, lists necessary sampling equipment and sampling strategies, includes step-by-step instructions in setting up and running air samples and concludes with engineering tips for dust control. While both manuals use foundry settings, they are also equally suitable for any manufacturing operation. 200 pages, spiral bound, plastic covers.

You may order a single copy for $25.00, tax and mailing included. Call us for volume pricing. You may order by calling the Association at 610-825-5126, ext. 19 or send a check made out to: Pennsylvania Foundry Association, One Plymouth Meeting - Suite 412, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462.
